Daily Doodle: Sketchbook Fish

Drew this in my sketchbook with a Copic Brush Pen. Used the Squarespace app on my iPhone to take the picture and then to upload it. 

Don't ask me why I drew this. For my daily sketchbook drawings, I'm trying not to plan ahead but just see what comes out when I put pen to paper. :-)

Daily Doodle: Cloud study with water reflection

Going through exercises in ADVANCED PAINTER TECHNIQUES by Don Seegmiller. Really great info. In this exercise, I learned more about layer combination methods, using duplicated layers to create a feeling of depth, and  how to use a fractal pattern to create a water reflection effect.
