Debbie Alvarez, Dancing

I was deeply saddened by the recent passing of Debbie Alvarez, a.k.a. The Styling Librarian.

The illustration above is dedicated to Debbie, who told me how she much she enjoyed the way I could find beauty in the ordinary. The background: a photo I took in a drive-through car wash (see my previous two entries for other doodles inspired by the same car wash drive-through).

Music Found Object Doodle for FilkONtario auction

Mixed media doodle for an upcoming auction for a good cause at FilKONtario, using ink, watercolor, pencil crayon and guitar picks.

The names are some of the filk conventions happening this year.

Tiny Doodle: "Blue Bell Bottoms"

As you can tell, I've been obsessed with tiny flowers lately. For this doodle, I used blue bell blossoms from our garden and a 0.38 Muji pen for the thin line. I bought a bunch of Muji pens when Jeff and I were in London and I love them! I need to get more of the 0.38 black pens, but haven't been able to find them in Canada yet. Did find them in the U.S. store, but am leery of the shipping charges and customs fees. :-(
