"Haiku!" said my friend: free print-ready poster and activity sheet

I'm gradually adding free print-ready posters and activity sheets for young poets on my POETRY FOR YOUNG READERS page (where you can also find info about my own poetry background).

First up: I've turned my "Haiku!" said my friend poem into a free, print-ready poster which prints on a sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper.

I also created a free, print-ready poetry worksheet:

Blueberry Bicycle Girl

Today's doodle was inspired by blueberries and a Peter Golkin quote.

“My two favourite things in life are libraries and bicycles. They both move people forward without wasting anything. The perfect day: riding a bike to the library.”

New comics, art and writing in my weekly newsletter

So as you may have noticed in my sidebar, I have a new weekly newsletter. Some people signed up for it last year (thank you!) but I only ended up sending out 1-2 issues. Starting recently, I've started it up again and this time, I'm going to be more regular about it.

Why a newsletter? I've been resisting for years because I lacked the time. The truth: I didn't make the time.

The idea of a newsletter appeals to me because sometimes I post more often on social media than I do on my blog, and sometimes I want to keep some of these posts in a place that's easy to find later. I also sometimes come across especially inspiring or useful or funny things online and would like to share a few of them.

Anyway, here's a page where you can browse the archives and (if you'd like) subscribe.
