My first Squarespace comic

Waiting for the next Squarespace Release

Overall, I still love Squarespace. I just wish they were more forthcoming about when the next major release is going to be (almost couple of years in the works already, apparently). So far I'm finding Squarespace far more solid and unbreakable than Wordpress. One of its major failings, however: poor handling of spam. I'm spending more and more time moderating spam comments. AUGH.

Supposedly this will be addressed in the next release, but I can't get anyone to tell me when this will be. Even if it's going to be THIS YEAR or not. Keep getting responses from Squarespace like the following:

Squarespace v6 is underway like you wouldn't believe, but unfortunately, we can't disclose what we have in store but it's going to be HUGE. We wish we could disclose it but it's gonna be years ahead of the competitors so we don't want to give away our secrets ;)

Sigh.

Oh Squarespace, don't you realize how good customer communication breeds loyalty? Treat us like adults.

God, do I know it. There has GOT to be a way that they can update things incrementally without them breaking everything that already works. They're freakin' geniuses, you know? So frustrating. I don't need them to spell out everything--I just want them to fix what doesn't work.

Very interesting for your article, I'm very impressing for this.

Ha! I just spammed you. :-p
I love the comic!

I could add a few more things to the Spam control request in Squarespace 6. For instance:
- Multilingual websites
- Automatic sitemaps
- Adding separated meta descriptions to individual blog posts
- Automatic moderation. If you have accepted one comment from an email address, then the rest should be approved automatically
- Mandatory email addresses in the comments
- Better social media sharing with URL shortners
- Per page code injection
- More flexibility in the forum pages, with categories.
- Opera support

and some more that I have forgotten...
