For those interested, I've posted some comments that people posted about the iPod when it first came out in 2001.
Jeff and I haven't had cable tv in about five years, and we also don't subscribe to any print newspapers. I browse publishing industry news sites every morning, so I'm aware when any news is so popular that it crops up in my feeds even if it's not directly related to publishing, and I also visit blogTO whenever I want to find out what Toronto's talking about.
Recently, I've also started listening to more radio, especially on my iPhone. I recently bought the WunderRadio app for the iPhone because it gave me access to not only CBC, but tons (about 36,000, according to the WunderRadio website) of other stations around the world. It costs more than the other apps ($6.99 in the iTunes store), but so far it's been well worth it.
Here are the radio stations I've added to my Favorites list so far:
What about the rest of you? Do you listen to radio at all? If so, what's your favourite station? If it's available through WunderRadio, I'll check it out.
A very happy birthday to my friend, Jeff Bohnhoff! Photos on this page were part of the "scrapbook wars" that he and I had on Orkut ages ago. Here's Jeff in the womb, for example:
...and Jeff at FilKONtario a while back:
Speaking of FKO, by the way, Jeff and his lovely wife Maya will be Guests of Honour at my favourite filk convention in the world, FilKONtario! Erica Neely is the Filk Waif and Mark Simmons is Interfilk guest.
HEY, and I just noticed that I'm in the header banner on the main FKO website right now! That's me in the blue shirt and black skirt on stage with Allison and Jodi!
Anyway, FilKONtario runs from April 9 - 11, 2010, and I look forward to seeing some of you there. To find out more about Jeff and Maya, visit MysticFig.com.
Allison, John and I had lunch with our pal Sherman Dorn, who was in the city for a teachers' convention. Fun to catch up! I took some pics on my iPhone, which I've posted on my iPhone Doodles and Photos Posterous blog. The restaurant had low light conditions, hence the graininess.
I don't post as often in Blatherings as I used to because I'm spending more time focusing on my writing-related projects (I post much more often in Inkygirl these days). However, I still create lots of pics and doodles on my iPhone, so am going to be using PicPosterous to post some of them online.
