Went to visited my sister yesterday afternoon, and played with Annie while Sara was at school. Annie was delighted at having my undivided attention for nearly three solid hours. We had a tea party, played the piano, went on an imaginary adventure, did crafts, sang the Hockey Monkey Song (both Annie and Sara know all the words), played school (Annie was the teacher, I was the student), had snacks, and when Sara came home, read picture books.
In the late afternoon, I went to another Urban Tapestry practice. It's always a bit more hassle to go to pre-con practices just because I have to lug almost everything...my guitar, flute, music books, some percussion. Doing this on the subway in rush hour is not fun. But it was a good UT practice. :-) We went to the Pickle Barrel, did a little bit of browsing in the shops, where I picked up some blank t-shirts and sweatshirts to create 'one-of-a-kind' Urban Tapestry Interfilk auction items for upcoming filk conventions. Then we went back to Allison's to actually do some practising. Only two more days until Ad Astra! We'll be going to a concom/guest party on Thursday night. I'll be staying at the hotel, so there will be no Blatherings from Friday through until Sunday.

Bottom - Allison, in the Pickle Barrel, just realizing that I am taking a picture of her
(she is wearing her 'I am going to kill you, Ohi' expression)
