One of my SCBWI mentors suggested I experiment with mixing colours to create black rather than use pure black when doing my Little Nightmare creatures. Love this idea! But I'm also experimenting with non-black Little Nightmare creatures too.
I really, really want to do a picture book using my Little Nightmare creatures but figured that the overall effect would be too dark. But (inspired by my SCBWI mentorship sessions!), I'm going do more experimenting with mixing colours in the foreground and the background.
My Paddington Bear was a gift from a friend's parents many years ago and sits in my office, still wearing his delivery name tag.
